I am a magna cum laude 1999 graduate of Colorado State University. I am looking for a job in veterinary medicine on the "emergency" or "sick" side of medicine, and am hoping to find a day time job, as I am a single mom with two young children, one with a severe brain injury caused by a vaccine. I have been practicing full time since 1999, I have good relations with my clients and my coworkers, but want to get away from routine vaccinations (unless I agree with your protocol or can have some input). I want to stay in veterinary medicine, but cannot continue to vaccinate animals after what has happened to my child. I am a GREAT veterinarian, associate, coworker, etc. I get along with most anyone, and am able to handle multiple tasks. I absolutely LOVE surgery (soft tissue) and am great at it. I just don't want to vaccinate anymore when I feel it is not appropriate. A friend suggested I look for emergency work - but I am not sure if there are "day" practices looking for this. I am available "full time" but do have scheduling requirements due to my daughter's illness and rehab therapy appointments, etc. I rarely take a day off if the schedule is set appropriately for my family. If you are interested, please inquire and I can send you a complete resume which is impressive. I am a great veterinarian, a very kind and honest person, and really want to work in an area that I believe in 100%. Thank you for your consideration.
